My research focuses on the study of gene function in subtropical and Mediterranean species such as avocado, mango, cherimoya and olive. I am interested in genes responsible of characteristics with agricultural interest, especially those involved in fruit quality, ripening and post-harvest. To this end, I develop and use bioinformatics tools applied to the study and generation of omics resources.
